Gilgit Baltistan

Muhammad Ali
President Gilgit Baltistan
Gilgit, Gilgit Baltistan
Snooker is close to my heart, but sport as a whole is what drives me. As a Sports Officer in Gilgit, I work across multiple disciplines every day, and that perspective helps me see where snooker fits in Gilgit Baltistan’s sporting future. My focus is to give snooker the same structure and visibility we’re building for other sports here. We may be a smaller region, but we have players with real potential. I’m responsible for organizing events, supporting clubs, and making sure our players are connected to PSF’s national programs. PSF has given me the platform to represent Gilgit Baltistan, and I intend to use it to project snooker from the north on a national level. With the right effort, I’m confident we’ll see Gilgit Baltistan producing players who compete and win at the highest level.

My focus is on putting our region firmly on Pakistan’s snooker map. As Chairman for AJ&K, I’m building the basic structure here—setting up clubs, organizing tournaments, and creating a pathway for local players to enter national competition. For too long, AJ&K’s talent has gone unseen due to a lack of access and organization. That’s changing. My goal is to make the federation’s presence consistent and effective across Muzaffarabad, Mirpur, and beyond, so players here get the same opportunity to train, compete, and progress as anyone else in the country.

President AJK
Poonch Rawalakot, Azad Jammu & Kashmir
As President of AJK, I bring that ground-level experience into the federation. Running clubs day to day teaches you what players actually need—tables, coaching, tournaments, and a system that doesn’t create barriers. My focus is to take that model and expand it across AJ&K so more players get access and a clear path forward. I run the KSL Snooker Club with 4-5 clubs operating across the region, also. The goal is simple: turn club-level activity into a structured regional circuit that feeds into national snooker.
